There are several neighbors and members of the HOA that are concerned about the welfare and direction of our HOA.  We are calling for the Treasurer resignation or removal, because of ethical issues displayed by her during the last HOA boards' term and her inability effectively perform the necessary functions as Treasurer.

The following documents will show these ethical and performance issues.

Lets try to make the HOA transparent and responsible for its actions and reduce liability for us all.  The goal of our HOA is to keep our home values as high as possible.  We need to move forward, and change past habits that have brought us all embarrassment in order to reach this goal.

There will be more information about this situation coming soon.  Please visit the Announcements  section.

Wow, looks like Ed was right, he didn't do anything and the Fords and Lindsays were just out to get him.  These letters prove it. We owe Ed an apology.

The HOA board does not condone this type of use of the website.  You are using the HOA name to make personal attacks against neighbors.  If I was a prospective buyer of a home in Sky Harbor and I saw this, I would run for the hills.  This type of stuff is costing us all value in our homes.  You do not have the authority to post this type of stuff on the association board without permission.  I am recommending to the rest of the board an immediate closure of the board and to not ba associated with this in any way.  It truly is a shame that our neighborhood is losing a valuable tool just for the sake of a few people.  I welcome any and all calls that would like to discuss this issue with me.  (425)238-4318  Tim Johnson

These emails are taken out of context and as such cannot be used to conclude anything except that several people were upset with Ed Williams, and that private emails were obviously forwarded without permission. There is no financial misconduct shown. The hand written notes are someone's biased opinion and not taking the whole truth into account. We have an "informant" calling for "transparency" yet they remain anonymous. One wonders if they don't want to be identified as someone who doesn't care about the privacy of others and a distributor of dirty laundry.

Ed Williams did not get the documents he demanded right away, primarily due to the way he handled the situation. There is much more to the whole story than what can be determined from these selectively chosen emails, including some very serious threats - and over what? Not getting some documents quickly enough? This is not the way for neighbors to treat each other and it needs to stop. The whole issue is in the past and we need to move on. Posting a page such as this is in very bad taste.

Tim Johnson's post clearly states that the biased attack on this page is not approved by our board of directors. Apparently they were not consulted beforehand.  If this kind of activity continues it has great potential to harm the reputation of our neighborhood and scare off potential home buyers. This is extremely bad for every homeowner, considering all our homes have dropped in value. I urge the Webmaster to listen to the board of directors and remove this page. It serves no useful purpose.

This page is only viewable by people who live in the Sky Harbor Neighborhood.  It is not viewable to the public.  It is private to us... so this cannot hurt our home values.  But what will hurt our home values is our officers and directors being unethical.  We are making the rest of the membership aware of the issues, so it can be corrected.  We have tried to have the Treasurer removed behind closed doors, but the board has not acted.  Tim, Carl and others clearly want this swept under the rug... hiding information makes us like a dictatorship...  transparency brings democracy.

To be clear on how these emails were obtained, they were printed by an HOA Director (now a prior director) in an effort to make documentation to remove Ed Williams from the board.  They were given to a neighbor and member of the HOA by this director personally.  They were not electronically forwarded without authorization, and this neighbor was never told to keep them private.  As all the emails have to do with HOA business they cannot be considered private information.

When the entire board resigned because of political issues, everyone involved left with the exception of the Treasurer.  She was a cornerstone in the entire problem and should have been removed when the new board came in.  We are stating our case for why she needs to be removed.  She does not attend meetings,  does not send out financial statements, has signed checks without authorization, and it is suspicious that she guarded the books so closely that she would not let a director (elected by us) do an internal audit on them... and admits in one of these emails that she was intentionally keeping the originals from him... this is not in any way transparent, and is very unethical.  She need to be replaced.  When she is replaced, this all goes away.

Carl, these are not selective emails....  there are over 500 pages of emails printed by this director, many duplicates.  And upon request anyone who is a member can see them, simply email admin@symbiosis-technology.com.  You were also part of the political fiasco with the last board, and you have shown a lack of ethics by removing a complaint from the Sky Harbor online complaint system.  What you did was a crime, be grateful that it has not been prosecuted.  As usual Carl is shifting blame and making it someone else's fault...  we were not part of the fiasco.  It is time for a Full External Audit, no one cares if you have taken your trash to the dump with the 3 bags from the park and charged the HOA for it...  why are you and other prior directors so against an external audit?

Any questions or to view the original documents may use this email address to contact us admin@symbiosis-technology.com

Thank You

The Webmaster Team

This is ridiculous!!  Past issues can't die until they are put to rest.  To put an issue to rest, it must first be resolved.  to resolve this issue, here is a simple plan:  Do a formal audit for the past 3 years, and continue to do so every 1-2 years.  This will cost a few dollars, but it simply keeps honest people honest.  If any of the previous board members take issue with this,  then anybody with common sense would see a bright red flag (I am accusing nobody of wrong doing.  In America everyone is innocent until proven guilty.)  I am sure that nothing terrible happened, but there have been no checks and balances in place.  I understand that this may hurt some feelings out there, but we need to make sure that we have accountablilry for all 62 homes in our community.  Without regularly scheduled audits, it is simply too easy to pilfer $50 here and there.  Our CC&R's clearly state that board members are not to be paid for their time or services.  If the current board members are having a difficult time agreeing to an audit, I think that it should be put up for a vote.

I've been following this situation and have decided to put my two cents worth in.  Homeowner's associations are set up to help facilitate not break down communications between homeowners and to manage financial matters as well as uphold rules set up in the CCR's.  It seems that everyone keeps making these things personal.  As an original member of the board I must admit that situations like this are exactly why I resigned early.  There should not be a situation like this between a handful of owners.  I would bet that the majority of homeowners feel that this is ridiculous (as I do).  I have been a proponent of having a property management company handle our homeowners associaton business for quite some time.  I would submit that it would be in the best interest of the entire community to consider this option.  Yes, there is a cost attached to that kind of service but it would preserve the integrity of the entire community. Someone who isn't directly involved in this community would have a more realistic view and would keep this a business situation as it should be kept.  I do not believe an audit would be out of order if the majority votes for one.  However, I also believe that none of this would be necessary if the HOA was handled in the manner it was intended.  Even though this thread is supposedly for homeowner's only I believe that it can potentially depreciate the values of our homes and make potential buyers think twice before buying in our neighborhood as mentioned in a previous comment.  As a Realtor I can attest to the decline in property values here as in many areas.  Therefore, why would anyone even consider airing dirty laundry in a venue such as this one?  I would say it is in all of our best interest to get this HOA back on track ASAP.  For crying out loud, even the homepage of the site specifically mentions this Informant thread.  Do you seriously think that a potential buyer looking at the site would just pass over that and think nothing of it?  Come on, let's close the book on these issues and get back on a more positive track.

Dear H.O.A.

I have been aware of the postings on the H.O.A. eyes only forum for some time now. I haven't posted anything because I really didn't have anything nice to say, so I stayed off of it.

Yesterday we received a letter in the mail that was from The Sky Harbor H.O.A. Board. Didn't know they existed? I haven't seen a financial report or heard anything about board meeting or decisions that have been made by the new board!! Thought a new board would want to keep 62 homes up to date on what’s new??

Back to this letter we received.

I hope an attorney was contacted before sending out something of this sort.  There was threatening language of legal action and foreclosure on it and I do not want to be part of anything like that!! We have had meetings in the past and many have said they didn't want to put up another one hundred dollars to bring in a management company to turn this train wreck around.  So now we are talking assessments??? I say no way without an attorney advising every move from now on with shoot from the hip moves like this. I hope there will be a meeting soon so we can hash this out.

This is my home and I have had enough of this H.O.A. CRAP...  I will NEVER live in a neighborhood with an H.O.A. in the future that where I have nothing to lose likes my privileges to some sort of real property, like a pool, golf course or gym. We have nothing here to lose accept our homes and wallets according to this recent H.O.A.Board letter.

If this was an attempt to scare your members??  You did it!!! I have more to fear from my H.O.A. Board then the rest of the world I live in.  I hope all the moms and dads are both working right now so we can continue paying our assessments to the H.O.A. in these great economic times!!

By the way what did it cost me for this threatening mailer I received??

Merry Christmas to all!!!
