Below are the records to be maintained by the HOA per the Articles of Incorporation. In absence of the notice of a meeting or minutes I have submitted a request for the following documents. I will post them when I recieve them. That should clarify what legal action our HOA is taking after the letter that was mailed to all of the homeowners and perhaps shed some light on how much are assessments will be.

 

ARTICLE XV BOOKS AND RECORDS

15.1 Records to be Maintained. The Association shall keep at its registered office, or at its secretary's office within the state of Washington:

a. Current Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws;

b. Correct and adequate records of accounts and finances;

c. A record of officers' and directors' names and addresses;

d. Minutes of the proceedings of the Board of Directors and any committees of the Board.

Hey Ron I see you put in several information request forms. I did to just before Christmas. Rick Dreger has been working on them and forwarding the information to me as he gets it together. I'm still waiting to hear about complaints filed against me from Tim Johnson. Rick said that he and Bill didn't have any in their records. I haven't heard about the other two requests I made but I'm sure Rick is working on them.

You brought up a lot of liability for the past and present directors in what you added to this forum. I can't believe there is still a desire to file a law siut against some one else when there is so much to loose with your findings. I think there is an apology in line to all of us and more so to Arley and Deborah after the last letter that was sent out by the board talking about assessments and law suits. Perhaps a look into their own past doings will change thier ideas of assessments and law suits? I have heard it said by directors in the past that their goal is to keep the values of our homes at the highest level. Well I looked a few days ago and found that the value of homes around the country (here included) dropped. Funny how the only thing that effected the value of our homes is the economy. HAVE FAITH IN YOUR NEIGHBOR TO KEEP HIS OR HER HOME NICE. We can see how a HOA complaint system and busy bodies can ruin a neighborhood!!! Just look at this forum and see what you can find on line about OUT OF CONTROL HOAs LIKE OURS.
LIABILITY, LIABILITY, LIABILITY!! Don't think it wont catch up!! Maybe it's here already?
